What we collect
Nothing. Marginless does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data, usage data, analytics, or telemetry of any kind.
There is no account system. There is no sign-up. There is no email associated with your use of the app.
Where your notes live
All notes, PDFs, ink strokes, audio recordings, and any other content you create in Marginless are stored locally on your iPad using Apple's standard file system APIs.
Your data does not pass through any server operated by us or any third party. It does not leave your device unless you explicitly export or share it using iOS share sheets, AirDrop, or other system features you initiate.
If you turn on iCloud, your notes sync between your own devices through your private Apple iCloud account — encrypted and managed entirely by Apple under your Apple ID. They are never sent to, seen by, or stored on any Marginless server. You can turn sync off at any time in iOS Settings.
Third-party services
Marginless does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.
- No Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or equivalent.
- No advertising networks.
- No crash-reporting services that transmit data to external servers.
Apple platform services
Marginless runs on iOS/iPadOS. Apple may collect certain aggregated, anonymized usage statistics as part of the App Store and iOS platform — this is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours.
Optional iCloud backup of your device may include Marginless app data if you have enabled iCloud Backup in iOS Settings. This is a device-level backup controlled entirely by you and Apple.
Children's privacy
Marginless does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, there is nothing to segregate by age.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and note the updated date at the top of this page.
